Eng. Rui Pedro Cunha, nominated by The Macau Delegation of Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (“CCILC”), was elected at the EGM last 10 October as President of its Board of Directors – starting October 15th 2023 for two years.
Eng. Cunha (General Manager of C&C Lawyers) stated: “I appreciate and thank the MECC members for electing me to lead the chamber for the 2023-2025 term. The Government has been encouraging the development of the “1+4” industry sectors, and these sectors will play a vital role in the diversification of Macau’s economy. Hengqin will also play an important factor in the economic development of Macau, by attracting foreign businesses and investments, and Macau companies can take advantage of the incentives that were created to attract them to this new market. MECC is always available to contribute and give support to Macau’s economic development.”
Mr. Christian Buggelsheim is promoted to President of the General Assembly, while Mr. Jeremy Artan de Saint Martin becomes Vice President, and Dr. Carlos Duque Simões becomes Secretary.
The Supervisory Board will be led by Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, while Mr. Filipe Cunha Santos, and Dr. Ivano Poma will continue as Vice President, and Secretary, respectively.
Other appointments of MECC’s governing bodies include Mr. Tony Un as Executive Vice President; Mr. Carlos Alvares, Mr. Jeffrey Ho, Mr. Keith Buckley, Mr. Niall Murray, and Mr. Rutger Verschuren as Vice Presidents. Mr. Jeffrey Ho, and Mr. Rutger Verschuren were also elected to take the roles of Treasurer, and Secretary, respectively.
