(21 November 2022, Macau) The MECC delegation paid a visit to Economic Development Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation zone in Hengqin yesterday, which was well received by the Bureau’s Director Dr. António Lei and his team.
The delegation visited the exhibition hall of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation zone in Hengqin, showing the transformation and development of the In-Depth Cooperation zone in Hengqin; the Hengqin Innovally and Talent apartments; AHA HK & Macau Youth Incubation Center; and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao, to better understand the transformation and development of Hengqin and its major industries. A sharing session was also held during this visit, where Dr. Lei presented the preferential schemes and benefits designed for Macau entrepreneurs that are interested to start their businesses in Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
MECC, led by President of the Board of Directors – Mr. Rui Pedro Cunha, presented its background and recent activities with governmental departments and corporates, and the responsibility of sharing with its members the advantages and opportunities in doing business in Hengqin, namely free trade of products, free movement of personnel, and international internet.
In this visit, MECC delegation was composed by representatives of the British Chamber of Commerce in Macao, France Macau Chamber of Commerce, Germany Macau Business Association, and the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
